All applicants must be 18 years or older. Both new and continuing students must attend Nexus Institute
during the enrolment period.
Subject Selection and Changes
You may request changes to your subjects or withdraw during the enrolment period. Approval depends
on course structure and class capacity.
Deferral or Leave of Absence
Must be requested prior to the census date.
– Leave can be granted for up to 12 months.
– International students must seek approval to avoid visa breaches.
Orientation
A mandatory week-long program that covers academic expectations, IT systems, student rights, class
manners, support services, and cultural integration.
Start of Classes
Teaching begins in Week 1. Your schedule may vary, but attending your first class is essential for
assessment briefings.

Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning
Credit is assessed based on transparent, equitable criteria. It must align with course learning outcomes.
Transfers Between Providers
International students can request a transfer after completing six months of study. Nexus will grant release only under specific academic progression conditions.
